Maintenance Engineer High-Tech Laboratories & Production

As the Maintenance Engineer High-Tech Laboratories & Production at cosine you ensure the reliability of the advanced equipment that enables the development and production of cutting-edge space instrumentation. From laboratory systems and cleanroom equipment to high-precision production machinery, you play a vital role in keeping our operations running safely, efficiently, and without interruption.

You will work in a unique environment where science, engineering, and manufacturing come together. By combining preventive maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and continuous improvement, you directly contribute to the quality, safety, and continuity of projects that support some of the world's most ambitious space missions.

In this role you will:

• Execute, optimize, and continuously improve preventive maintenance plans for laboratory equipment, production machinery, and facility-related systems
• Diagnose technical failures, identify root causes, and coordinate effective solutions to minimize downtime and operational impact
• Manage spare parts, maintenance materials, and supplier activities to ensure equipment availability and reliability
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and asset information within the asset management system and communicate proactively with stakeholders
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable safety standards and contribute to a safe and reliable working environment

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• MBO+ or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical discipline
• Experience maintaining technical equipment in a production, laboratory, or other high-tech environment
• Experience working with maintenance or asset management systems
• VCA-VOL certification or an equivalent safety qualification
• Certified for electrical work, or willing to obtain the required certification
• Fluent in both Dutch and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and operational teams
